A female teacher at the Shalom Primary School in Otavi survived seven stab wounds inflicted by her boyfriend there on Wednesday.
Sonnet Mundia Simasiku, 34, was admitted to the Tsumeb State Hospital with stab wounds to the chest, back and forehead.
The 29-year-old boyfriend from the Zambezi Region used a knife and a screwdriver to attack Simasiku. The suspect was arrested on the scene of the crime. The victim is in a stable condition, the Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Otjozondjupa Public Relations’ Officer, Sergeant Maureen Mbeha told Nampa on Thursday. The police officer said the two reportedly quarrelled terribly last week after Simasiku allegedly decided to end their relationship
